Participants will learn how health care is using 21st-century workplace performance analytics technology to address the Institute of Medicine’s Future of Nursing report that discovered uneven nurse-sensitive performance indicators were a symptom of nurse role accountability, responsibilities, and authority confusion, resulting in a task vs. professional role focus. As performance improvement professionals, we can use this technology to identify costly, hidden workplace behavior gaps in real time to apply our 10 international standards in any industry.

Tim Brock, CPT, PhD, is CEO of The Institute 4 Worthy Performance, a Certified Performance Technologist, a Certified ROI Professional, and a Certified Instructional Designer with a specialization in Simulations and Labs. He is a member of ISPI’s Certification and Accreditation Governance Committee and the 2016-2017 Awards of Excellence Committee chair. His PhD is in Training and Performance Improvement from Capella University. He is a frequent ISPI, ATD, and International Meeting for Simulation in Healthcare conference speaker.
