Developing Useful Survey Instruments

Participants will learn to develop and administer a survey instrument for organizational research. Participants will actively develop a survey to collect organizational data (attitudinal and demographic), determine the proper sampling frame, and recognize that these data may be used for various purposes. Participants will also learn methods used to increase return rates.

More About This Speaker

Dr. Hamett Brown is an assistant professor in the Department of Human Capital Development at the University of Southern Mississippi. He teaches various research courses, including Survey Design, to PHD students. He has developed or assisted in developing numerous surveys throughout his career. He guides doctoral candidates in conducting quality dissertation research. Presentations have included regional education research associations and independent schools associations.
